Event Management Advisor - Business Development

Job Level

NV-08As Event Management Advisor, you will help promote the organization’s projects, policies and programs by designing and developing communications and sharing them within Desjardins Group and with its members and clients.You help establish and promote the organization’s online brand image by creating, managing and updating social and digital media communications and serving as social media community manager.You advise clients and partners to help them with small- to medium-scale print media initiatives. You develop tools, methods and processes. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work.You propose recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization’s objectives and priorities. You share ideas and help solve problems using your analytical skills and extensive knowledge of the line of business. You interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.

Additional responsibilities

Marketing

  • Create and send out GPS notifications
  • Produce descriptive texts for our events
  • Execute the promotional communication strategy for our events and offers
    • Draft bulk emails
    • Comply with marketing rules
    • Obtain approval from Marketing (as needed)
    • Revise and translate written material
  • Produce documentation for the management and Business Development teams
  • Participate in marketing meetings (as needed)
  • Keep the team informed of various developments
  • Carry out clerical tasks for various projects, offers and partnership

Event management

  • Produce descriptive texts for our events
  • Manage event publications in DI / Eventbrite
  • Ensure that there is a good participation rate at the various events
  • Manage the BDAs’ and representatives’ schedules for seminar evenings
  • Keep a list of participants and send seminar course materials and relevant information to participants
  • Respond to occasional requests from clients regarding their participation or other requests
  • Invoice clients: Ensure that online invoicing works properly (cheques and debits involving the event account)
  • Manage rooms for events: Reserve rooms | Request cleaning | Advise security
  • Survey participants after each activity and prepare a summary
  • Send individual post-event survey results to Business Development to determine performance objectives
  • Serve as the contact for event organizers where Desjardins Online Brokerage is a partner or sponsor
  • Help with various event mandates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience
