OUR ORGANIZATION With more than 1,250 members, the East Montreal Chamber of Commerce is the largest group of business people in its territory. It is a key player in the economic development of its region and acts as spokesperson for the community.

The Export Assistance Service (SAE) of the Chamber of Commerce of the East of Montreal has been offering personalized consulting services and training for 20 years to support SMEs in their internationalization projects. Over the last year, the SAE team has supported nearly 200 companies and organized about ten training courses.

POSITION DESCRIPTION Reporting to the Director of the Assistance Service Export, the export advisor is mandated to support and advise SMEs in the east of Montreal in their efforts to develop markets outside Quebec. He has the following responsibilities:  To advise, supervise and accompany the exporting companies, or in the process of becoming , in the definition and realization of their export procedures  Realize diagnoses, research, market research, export plans, assist in finding business partners, etc.  Solicit new clients  Respond to inquiries export-related information  Recruit participants for training activities  Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with clients and partners of the SAE  Participate in the development of the offer of CAS services  Keep abreast of export trends and issues  Participate in House working committees  Participate actively and regularly in events organized by the a CCEM  All other related duties

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED  University degree in international business or business administration or any other training or experience deemed equivalent (2nd cycle, an asset)  Proficiency in oral and written French and English  Proficiency in the technical aspects of international business and the challenges of international marketing  Knowledge of international business support networks, information sources and key economic development programs  Business development skills  Knowledge of business territory East of Montreal (an asset)

EXPERIENCE  2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position  Experience in supporting SMEs for export projects  Field experience abroad (an asset)

CONDITIONS  Contract position at full-time, 10 to 13 months  Compensation according to the salary scale in place  Range of benefits  Ability to travel in the territory of the province East of Montreal - required driver's license  Position to be filled as of December 1, 2019
