As an active member of the Business Development team, the incumbent will source and develop new and existing partnerships with Mortgage Brokers. This includes supporting and executing on various sales activities, sales campaigns and Business Development and/or Marketing driven initiatives to build sales momentum and contribute to the maximization of gross sales.To be successful in the role, the incumbent must be well-versed in all mortgage products and services offered by Laurentian Bank of Canada.This is primarily a phone-driven sales role with some email contact with clients. Some travel is expected, such as industry events, conferences.
ºProactively promote Laurentian Bank of Canada products and programs to existing and prospective Financial Advisors and Brokers via telephone and email. ºProspect clients to provide both product and value added programs, and assist them in selecting Laurentian Bank of Canada products and services that will meet their business needs. ºRespond to client inquiries, follow-up on sales leads and cross-sell to existing customer base.ºQualify sales opportunities for Business Development Managers, aligned by territory, and book meetings and appointments as necessary.ºIn conjunction with the Manager, conduct market analysis to identify and develop business opportunities for targeted clients in order to increase sales volume.ºIn the absence of a Business Development Manager (BDM), responsible for territory management and the region's sales performance, along with managerial support ºWork as part of a team in support of sales and marketing activities including, trade shows, conferences, marketing campaigns/promotions and client presentations.ºLog sales activities daily and capture and maintain accurate and up to date client information in in-house system ºDevelop in-depth knowledge of all Laurentian Bank of Canada products and programs. ºRemain current on the various legislation, procedures, standards and policies related to the products and services offered by Laurentian Bank of Canada. ºCommunicate information as necessary with clients and Business Development team members.ºLiaise with various internal departments for problem resolution, including escalations, and enhance overall customer experience. ºFollow up with necessary parties for sales leads.ºAchieve sales, asset growth, activity and prospecting goals and targets as assigned.
ºUniversity Degree in a business or related field, and minimum 2 years of related sales and/or customer service experience within the financial services industry.orCollege Diploma in a business or related field, and 3 to 5 years of related sales and/or customer service experience within the financial services industry.ºSuperior sales capabilities and ability to prospect new clients via the phone.ºStrong listening, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills are required for the role.ºAbility to effectively influence, persuade and operate at all levels of the organization, as well as externally.ºProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word & Powerpoint, as well as other business applications.ºFamiliarity with 5S, Kaizen Principles, Six Sigma or other Continuous Improvement methodologies is an asset.ºDemonstrated ability in core and role specific competencies including: Listening, Results Orientation, Relationship Building, Influencing, Problem Solving and Adaptability. ºBilingual (French/English) verbal and written communication skills is an asset.
