Business Development/Account Manager

Reports To: General Manger – Smith Induspac - Mississauga

Type: Full-Time Permanent position

Location: Working for Smith Induspac – Mississauga

Based in Mississauga (Smith-Induspac), the Induspac Group also has production units in Longueuil (JP Carton), Candiac (Les Emballages GAB) and Ottawa (Smith-Induspac). Whether for sophisticated protective packaging, wooden crates or regular corrugated boxes, the expertise developed over all these years allow us today to be one of the leaders in the field in Eastern Canada.  We want to expand our protective packaging customer base in central and western Ontario areas.

Position Summary:

By working closely with our design and production team the Business Development/Account Manager is responsible for sourcing new leads and working with new and existing clientele either face-to-face or over the phone to generate sales, to provide customer service and meet sales objectives.   

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and generate leads through cold calling, networking, and outreach.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted industries.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to consistently achieve or exceed sales goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Conduct presentations and negotiations to close deals effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Track and report sales activities, pipeline development, and results.

 What We’re Looking For:

  • MUST HAVE: Experience in Canadian manufacturing B2B sales preferred in corrugated box and protective packaging new business development with a proven track record of hunting, acquiring new business, and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong prospecting and cold-calling skills with a fearless approach to new opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and persuasion abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Resilient mindset – able to handle rejection and keep pushing forward.
