Marketing and Communications Advisor

Your mission

As a marketing and communications advisor, your mission is to create, implement and follow up on marketing plans for the various Portage services and rehabilitation centers in all provinces. Under the supervision of the Communications Director, you are responsible for planning and implementing local and national marketing campaigns.

Your daily routine

  • Participate in the development of communications and marketing plans for the department and the different regions.
  • Provide an advisory role and marketing support to the services and the centers.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans taking into account the particularities of each province (to develop relationships, advertising campaigns, creation of promotional materials, communications tools, event management, etc.),
  • Act as a marketing resource person: for the internal team, various media partners and creative agencies.
  • Plan, create and produce advertising campaigns in collaboration with the centers and external partners across all platforms.
  • Develop marketing strategies and success indicators to promote the organization's programs and services.
  • Maintain and regularly update the profiles of target audience personas, ensuring the team produces content that aligns with their interests and needs.
  • Ensure the website’s optimization through the analysis of the persona’s activity.
  • Participate in the creation of the annual content calendar.
  • Collaborate in content creation such as writing and revising various communication tools such as videos, brochures, webinars, blog articles, press releases, annual reports, Power Point presentations, etc.
  • Collaborate and maintain excellent relationships with associations, health sector representatives and partners to promote Portage’s activities.
  • Other related tasks: Perform other tasks at the request of the immediate supervisor

Your experiences

  • University degree in marketing or communications
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in marketing, communications, or advertising
  • Bilingual – French and English (spoken and written)
  • Excellent skills in writing, analyzing and synthesizing information in order to produce articles for the web or for various audiences.
  • Ability to structure editorial and graphic content for websites.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office suite
  • Good understanding of website (Wordpress) and video design principles
  • Leadership, attention to detail and ability to plan.
  • Team player and shares information
  • Creativity, sense of initiative, autonomy, and sense of responsibility
  • Knowledge of the community environment and specifically drug addiction issues 

Your schedule and your benefits

  • Job Type: Temporary 12 months/maternity leave, full-time, 35 hours per week
  • Schedule: day shift – Hybrid mode (3 days at the office)
  • Salary: to be discussed according to experience
