Small Business Coordinator

This role sits within Laurentian Bank.
 
Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Client Experience, the incumbent will be responsible for “Small Business” (SB) clients in his/her region. He/She will be a key player in SB customer service in his/her region and will be responsible for document preparation, file compliance, and follow-up. The incumbent may also be assigned to special projects related to compliance, customer service, or certain SB-specific programs.
 
 
Responsibilities
 
Customer service
  • Provide first-level customer service by phone or email to SB clients in his/her region.
  • Efficiently answer calls and emails and provide courteous, high-quality service.
  • Handle SB client inquiries, follow up on open files and communicate directly with clients.
  • Identify and suggest products and services to meet the needs of SB clients or refer them to the appropriate business line (Business Services, LBS, Private Banking).
  • Help the branches in his/her region with SB client issues 
Compliance
  • Prepare documentation related to opening, modifying or closing transactional products for SB clients and follow up on the processing of requests while meeting all quality standards.
  • Support and work with operational excellence sectors to resolve administrative or operational issues for clients.
  • Handle files related to periodic compliance updates.
  • Properly complete, update and archive all reports necessary for the required controls.
  • Perform all tasks of a similar or general nature requested by his/her superior or required for the position.
 
Qualifications
 
• College diploma (DEC) in business administration, accounting, or a related field 
• Minimum 3 years of customer service experience, including at least 1 year working with commercial clients 
• Basic knowledge of business financing an asset 
• Good spoken and written communication skills (French and English)* 
• Ability to manage and prioritize numerous competing requests 
• Excellent customer service skills

*Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
