YOUR DAY TO DAY WITH US

Under the authority of the Director of Global Sales, the Director of Sales Canada will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling the sales activities of his territory which covers all of Canada. In particular, he will be responsible for supervising the sales team on his territory, monitoring performance, communicating overall sales objectives and applying and enforcing company policies. The Canada Sales Director will act as the right arm of the Global Sales Director and will be an important player in achieving our objectives for Canada.

Main functions:

  • Prospect for new potential customers, identify their decision makers and build relationships with them;
  • Make “cold calls” in order to maintain a good presence in the market and organize periodic meetings with potential customers in order to maintain a prominent position;
  • Facilitate meetings between client decision makers and practice specialists and/or directors of Jyga Technologies;
  • Communicate the company's alignments and objectives to your team to ensure the understanding and achievement of these objectives;
  • Support your team in closing sales;
  • Develop effective sales strategies for your territory;
  • Support, guide and “coach” your team to get the best out of everyone and maintain sustained sales in your territory;
  • Collect and analyze sales results to draw conclusions;
  • In collaboration with the global sales director, organize sales meetings and propose an annual development plan for his territory;
  • Represent your territory during sales meetings, present results and collaborate with other territory managers in the exchange of information, best practices and knowledge.
  • Participate in the evaluation of members of the sales team in Canada;
  • Ensure the training of new salespeople on your territory and the continued development of your team;
  • Review and approve submissions;
  • Help manage major clients.

YOUR LUGGAGE

  • Training in sales, business administration, agriculture or an agriculture-related field combined with sales experience;
  • 5 to 10 years experience in a sales management role;
  • Minimum experience of 10 years in the pork industry;
  • Demonstrated experience and ability in market development and major account management;
  • Ability to lead and mobilize sales teams;
  • English/French bilingualism (mandatory);
  • Ability to travel regularly within Canadian territory;
  • Rigour, organization and resourcefulness;
  • Interest in innovation, new technologies and continuous improvement;
  • Ease with IT tools (Outlook, Office, ERP)
