The challenges that await you

You are responsible for developing and presenting management dashboards, including key indicators and illustrating the performance of the various teams in the Communications and Marketing Department. Based on management objectives, you must collect, analyze, evaluate, and identify performance trends from the results provided by the different teams in the department.

You identify issues and challenges related to various initiatives, prepare reports and dashboards to make recommendations for performance improvement. You develop and recommend strategies to support decision-making related to findings from various analyses of the performance of marketing communication initiatives.

You also contribute to the preparation of the Department's budget exercise and the three-year investment plan and develop reports and analyses to ensure the optimization of marketing communication activities.

  • You analyze the performance of all activities of the department's teams (such as communications, content strategy, marketing research, public consultations, citizen participation, public affairs, the digital products team including the website laval.ca). You support internal partners by providing them with "tagging" requirements.

  • You present the department's monthly performance dashboards, highlighting key points, learnings, and recommendations to support decision-making and optimize the performance of the department's activities.

  • You implement and maintain a methodology to compare initiatives (types of activities) and develop a database of results. You document successes or challenges and guide decisions to improve performance. You suggest improvement avenues based on the budget invested, results obtained (ROI), and the number of hours per activity per employee.

  • You participate in the analysis of budgets and expenditures for various activities, projects, and programs and ensure the processing of requests sent to the various City departments (finance and procurement: purchase requests (PR), purchase orders (PO), commitment releases, transfers, etc.). You provide the required support to teams and produce analyses on financial performance.
The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, administration, or other relevant training;
  • Have 8 years of experience in marketing performance and financial management;
  • Mastery of Google Analytics (GA4);
  • Mastery of the Microsoft Office suite including Excel.
